It's okay to be not okay | Review

The new K-drama which is going rounds on the Netflix platform because of the popularity of the very first episode which shows about a fairytale, not like your regular fairytale but something different. The first episode aired on June 20, 2020 on the OTT platform. This show is directed by Park Shin-woo. The show stars Kim Soo-hyun, Seo Ye-ji, Oh Jung-se, Park Kyu-young.

The drama tells the story about an unusual romance between ‘Moon Gang-tae’, a community caretaker at a Psychiatric ward who doesn’t have time for love and takes care of his mentally unstable brother ‘Moon Sang-tae’ and ‘Ko Moon-young’, a successful children’s book author who suffers from antisocial personality disorder and has never known love. After meeting each other, the two slowly begin to heal each other’s emotional wounds.

Kim Soo-hyun who gave his best performance in the k-dramas My Love from the Star, The Producers, Dream High etc. here plays the role of ‘Moon Gang-tae’, an orphaned caretaker working at a psychiatric ward, empathic to his patients, friends, and older brother, he rarely loses his temper.

Seo Ye-ji who gave her performance in the k-dramas Save Me, Diary of a Night Watchman, Lawless Lawyer etc. here plays the role of ‘Ko Moon-young’, a popular author for children’s books and has PTSD and is obssessed with ‘Gang-tae.’

Oh Jung-se plays the role of ‘Moon Sang-tae’, older brother to ‘Gang-tae’ and has an autistic disorder and also is a fan of ‘Ko Moon-young’.

The first episode, named as ‘THE WITCH’ starts with a dark and intense episode as we learn who our main characters are already and see links of deep wounds for some of the main players. This drama is set to be quite intriguing one, focusing on some very important mental health issues.

It gives an important message that becomes a core part of this series. “Experiencing pain is a sad but important part of life and can shape the person into someone passionate and caring, determined to be kind to others”. This is a very powerful message given by this episode, which I completely agree with.

This show is very interesting and intriguing. I hope it gets better and better in the upcoming episodes. Although I am far away from the first episode but I hope you all will like the show. There is a saying “Curiosity kills the Cat”, but for me it’s already killing me to wait for the next episode as it is a weekly update show. I am just waiting for the next. Hope you all reading it right now will be interested to watch the series as much as I am now and as I was then when I started watching.

Hope you all liked my review, do give a watch and comment and share.

Hospital Playlist | Review | SpillBoard

Korean dramas currently are at the apex of their industry. Encroaching upon new grounds, these captivating series have made its way to the U.S., mostly through Netflix. I personally love numerous Korean dramas on Netflix as well; from the recent “Crash Landing on You” to “Love Alarm” back in 2017, I’ve watched a handful of dramas to call myself a fan. Recently, I’ve been watching one that took a quite different approach to its story plot: “Hospital Playlist.” Released in March 2020, “Hospital Playlist” made its way to being one of the most-watched Korean dramas in South Korea. Just in the first episode, we are introduced to five friends who knew each other since the start of medical school. As a Korean medical school consists of 6-years, including college and medical school, they practically have known each other for almost 20-years. Kim Joon-Wan (played by Jung Kyoung-Ho), a cardiothoracic surgeon, is caring to the patients and his friends while insensitive to the residents...

LOOTCASE | Review

A bag full of money seems to be the end of all troubles. Right!? Well, that isn’t the case for Nandan Kumar (Kunal Khemu) of Disney+ Hotstar’s new release, LOOTCASE . When Nandan stumbles upon a bag full of Rs 10 Crores in the middle of the night, his sanskaar tells him to return the bag to its original owner. So, he (in a hushed tone) says, “ Last time puchh raha hoon, kiska bag hai? ” Since nobody can hear him, he has no option but to take the bag home and spend all the money in it. Oh! What a task! But what seemed to be the end of all his struggles actually ends up becoming one. His beloved bag, that he names ‘ Anand Petikar’ (or Joy Bagman) isn’t really easy to hide. Spending the entire amount together is not really an easy task. He dreams of buying a luxurious flat, but then nobody really takes ₹4 Crores in cash. So, Nandan decides to take out small portions of the money, wraps it and hides it safely in various corners of his home. But for a man living in a chawl in Mumbai, find...
