Reincarnation is True!!

Yes you read correctly. There is nothing wrong with the words. So, does it mean that the stories and news you heard about people remembering about their past lives and claiming to be someone else, someone famous from the past is true?!!

NO! Reincarnation is true but not the way you think it is.

You might have heard about the stories, mythologies, legends or some predictions in different religions across the world about certain beings or characters or Gods being reborn or resurrected. Almost every major religion has this belief of rebirth or reincarnation, for example in Hinduism, Buddhism and also in Christianity (the resurrection of Jesus Christ). But let’s not go into that part and go around the world searching for those people of myth. Instead, let’s see the logical part behind those stories and understand what might have led to the creation of this theory or belief and the stories around it.

First, let’s understand what Hindus, Buddhists and other similar religions say about reincarnation. They believe that when a person or any living being dies then according to the law of Karma, that being’s soul is allowed to take birth as a human or any other being in the next life. The law of Karma basically is a scale or standard that measures the good and the bad things that the being did in its previous life which determines the type of life it is going to have in the next life as a reward or punishment. This continues till perpetuity which is known as 'Jeevan Chakra' or 'Samsara Chakra' which translates to Life Cycle and popularly known as 'The Circle of Life'. Well, it is definitely a good way to keep people in control of their actions but we all know what the reality is.

Now let’s come back to real life and consider the 'Food Chain'. Yes, the one you learned about in your science class. The Food Chain as we know is the interdependence of one being on the other for food and survival. This means that one living being directly or indirectly consumes the other for its survival. If we take this and The Circle of Life theory then we may be able to understand reincarnation in a better way.

When a person dies then he or she is either cremated or burnt according to the religion they followed or were a part of. And what happens after that is that the body, if burnt, turns into ashes and mixes in the soil or flows into the rivers and oceans which in turn fertilizes the soil, feeds the micro-organisms or gets absorbed by grass and any plants nearby. If the person is buried or cremated, then bacteria and other microorganisms present in the body and the soil decompose it.

So the person now becomes a part of the plant or becomes the plant. If we put it in other words, the person is now reborn as a plant or the grass or the microorganism. After that, when the plant dies or gets consumed by any other creature like a cow or a deer then that plant then becomes a part of the cow and in turn, becomes the cow. And then this process goes on till the last of the consumers on the top of the food chain i.e. to the lions, tigers, eagles, sharks, whales and of course, us humans.

CONCLUSION

When we are consuming food we are basically consuming another life directly or indirectly. So the creature that lived once, after death becomes a part of everything else in the nature. To put it in better words ‘Becoming one with the nature’.

We all are born from the nature and we all die into the nature as well, becoming a part of the Circle of Life which includes every single person and every other living being. We are Everyone and Everyone is Us. And if we take our observation into consideration then it will be correct to say that ‘Reincarnation is True’.

I personally love numerous Korean dramas on Netflix as well; from the recent “Crash Landing on You” to “Love Alarm” back in 2017, I’ve watched a handful of dramas to call myself a fan. Recently, I’ve been watching one that took a quite different approach to its story plot: “Hospital Playlist.” Released in March 2020, “Hospital Playlist” made its way to being one of the most-watched Korean dramas in South Korea. Just in the first episode, we are introduced to five friends who knew each other since the start of medical school. As a Korean medical school consists of 6-years, including college and medical school, they practically have known each other for almost 20-years. Kim Joon-Wan (played by Jung Kyoung-Ho), a cardiothoracic surgeon, is caring to the patients and his friends while insensitive to the residents. Ch
